Q: What brought you to DO?

A:  One of my favorite things about teaching history was communicating to various audiences and storytelling. At DO, I’m able to use this gift to educate, increase awareness of our mission, and inspire partnership.

Q: What other experience do you have in this field.

A: Several years ago, I started my own business and helped individuals and small businesses effectively communicate their story over social media and web communications—from writing website copy and LinkedIn articles to presenting social media audits and social media strategies.

Q: Where are you from? Married? Have kids?

A:  Ashland, Ohio (according to our sign, the ‘World Headquarters of Nice People). I am married—my husband, Brian, and I live in Bexley, Ohio. We have two dogs, Harper (boxer) and Quincy (a vizsla).

Q: Why are you excited to work with DO?

A:  We forget just how truly blessed we are and oftentimes fall into the trap believing that our world is the world. DO and its mission provides much needed perspective and purpose. I’m honored to be a small part of the organization.

Q: What responsibilities will your job include? And how many hours per week?

A: As a Stewardship Officer, I will be assisting Rhonda with major gifting programs and capital campaigns to increase awareness and communication of DO’s past, present, and future scope and project plans. I’ll also be heading up external communications and DO’s social media strategy.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

A:  Hanging out with my husband and our pups, reading, trail running, and teaching yoga. Oh, and providing the occasional, unannounced history lecture on the way things are the way they are.
