Welcome, Matthias
We’re excited to have Matthias Dinkelbach join the Design Outreach team as a summer intern.
Matthias, a Mechanical Engineering student from the University of Florida, will be working on DO’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives, creating an Afridev pump stand to help test the Ultra Low-Cost Sensor Project and developing a maintenance manual for the LifePump™ gearbox. He will also be helping to prepare the shipment being sent to Malawi.
Matthias said this internship is a way to honor Christ by serving others through engineering. “Working with Design Outreach is an opportunity to hone my skills in an ideal application while working with others who share a Christ-centered focus.” He is looking forward to growing both in technical excellence and in charity while using his skills in computer modeling, programming, and manufacturing to create lasting impact.
Outside of work, Matthias has a passion for sacred music and leads multiple ensembles for worship music and concerts. His biggest inspiration? Jesus Christ, along with Saint Dominic de Guzman, a scholar who dedicated his life to service of the poor.
Matthias, we’re grateful to have you on the team!
