Senior Technical Liaison
Gahanna, OhioPosition:
• Develop and maintain professional, trusting relationships with DO implementing partners and field offices to effectively determine the needs of our partners and connect them with DO solutions.
• Research and develop value propositions that resonate with ministry partners.
• Coordinates with Project Leads and DO field offices on field testing of new appropriate technology and on developing strategies for effective implementation.
• Provide technical support to DO implementing partners and field offices including troubleshooting, training, and identification of required parts.
• Provide technical support for the development of new appropriate technologies and support for the sustaining-engineering efforts of available technologies.
• Support DO appropriate technology projects through the design and production of prototypes and experimental test rigs.
• Support the Innovation Labs in the USA and Malawi with equipment installation and maintenance plans.
• Professionally represent Design Outreach while interfacing with various volunteer groups, suppliers, NGO partners and missionaries.
• Travels solo or in teams to developing countries to meet with existing and new partners and carry out other the key functions of the Senior Technical Liaison role listed here.

• Provide program management for development of new WASH technologies through research, design, analysis, prototyping, testing, manufacturing support, documentation, and risk management.
• Lead, manage, and provide accountability to a team of WASH project managers and engineers (initially 2-3 staff members).
• Oversee the implementation of the DO Way for Appropriate Technology Development on projects.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers on user/human-centered design activities and in applying engineering, design, and product development principles in the development of new technology.
