Welcome, Declan
We’re excited to welcome Declan Freedhoff to the Design Outreach team as a summer intern.
Declan, an Aerospace Engineering student at The Ohio State University, will be working with DO’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) division, creating an Afridev pump stand to help test the Ultra Low-Cost Sensor Project and maintaining the LifeTap™ fatigue stand for testing of the newest version of LifeTap. He will also be helping to prepare the shipment being sent to Malawi.
Declan is passionate about using his engineering skills to honor the Lord by helping those in need. He is excited to work with a team that shares a Christ-based mission. “It is truly motivating to see the impact that Design Outreach has on lives across the world. To directly impact lives physically with engineering innovations and spiritually with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is remarkably encouraging.”
When he’s not working, Declan enjoys playing tennis, soccer, volleyball, and spending time with friends, family, and church community. His biggest heroes? Jesus—and his mom, who’s guided him in faith since childhood.
