Welcome, Josiah

We’re thrilled to welcome Josiah Lamberton to the team as a summer intern.

A Biomedical Engineering student at Messiah University, Josiah is part of a program focused on nonprofit engineering work. He said this internship is a logical next step into the professional world. “The work I’ll be doing here will hopefully make a massive impact on someone’s life—and I find that incredibly inspiring.”

Josiah will be working with DO Medical, testing alternative bellows materials for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy system cost reduction and leak testing subcomponents for dressing assembly. He will also be working on the preparation and execution of formative usability studies as well as clinical evaluation device builds and verification testing.

Josiah recently completed coursework on the process of designing a medical device—from market research to testing of the prototype—and he’s excited to bring that knowledge to his work with Design Outreach. Outside of work, he is an avid reader who also enjoys working out and drawing. New to Columbus, he’s looking forward to making new friends and connecting with a local church.

Welcome, Josiah! We can’t wait to see all that you’ll contribute during your time with us.
