Welcome, Weston!
Please join us in welcoming Weston Ruffer to the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). As a Project Engineer, Weston will help develop innovative solutions that help bring clean water to communities in need, contributing across many stages of engineering — from prototype design and testing to CAD modeling and fatigue analysis.
Weston studied at The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering with honors research distinction. He was first introduced to Design Outreach through Dr. Greg Bixler’s appropriate technology course, where he was inspired to apply his engineering skills toward impact in the Kingdom of God. Rooted in his family’s farming background, Weston is passionate about sustainable agriculture and envisions one day building a homestead that serves as a model for teaching others how to grow their own food and as a place to develop innovations for small-scale farming. He also serves his church as a worship leader.
We are thrilled to have Weston on our team and excited to see how he’ll apply his passion to this meaningful work.
