DO Working With Living Water International
Training has begun for the India Mark 2 MaxLife Program, a two-year project to upgrade 40 commonly used hand pumps in Zambia. Design Outreach is thrilled to partner with Living Water International (LWI) and the Zambian government on this project to reduce corrosion, prevent lead contamination, and minimize pump breakdowns that keep communities trapped in the cycle of poverty.
The DO and LWI staff have now been trained on pump assembly and installation, and formal training for the Zambian government staff and pump menders is scheduled for November.
