World Water Day
In Mzimba District, Malawi, 225 students from Thimalala Community Day Secondary School, 1,250 elementary school students, and 425 people from the surrounding community wait in line for 30 minutes to draw water from a neighboring hand pump that often breaks down due to heavy use. Students are late, miss lessons, and lose time for studying because of the continual burden of collecting water from afar.
This #WorldWaterDay, we can change that. Our goal is to raise $19,000 by March 31st to give this community a LifePump, and with it, hope for a better future.
An anonymous donor has generously agreed to match donations to this campaign, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000! Between now and March 31, you can double the impact of your gift! Join us by giving here.
