World Water Day

Meet Rhoda Msiska, the 51-year-old Deputy Head Teacher of Thimalala Community Day Secondary School. Rhoda’s family spends 3 hours a day collecting water. “I walk a long distance and wait at the water point more than 30 minutes for a turn. I normally report for work late which affects the performance of my students in examinations. My household hygiene is heavily affected. I fail to do my household daily chores due to a lack of water.”

Rhoda believes that having a LifePump will lead to a better learning environment at the school in terms of hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation. With reliable water access, she also plans to facilitate brickmaking to improve the school’s facilities, and she hopes that nearby communities will be in a position to build more houses for teachers.

This World Water Day, will you help to fund a LifePump for Thimalala Community Day Secondary School so that Rhoda and her community can build a brighter future? Donate here.
