Finance Support:
- Assist the CTO and Engineering Solutions Director with expense reports.
- Update Engineering Solutions monthly budget per project spend.

HR Support:

Under the direction of the Field Programs Director and Chief Stewardship Officer, the Director of Gospel Engagement & Partnerships will:
• Further develop and implement Gospel-centered, disciple-making strategies that complement DO’s engineering and programmatic initiatives.
• Oversee and support Gospel outreach staff in Malawi and Zambia, setting goals, providing mentorship, and ensuring accountability to outreach objectives.
• Learn and adapt to cultural contexts to ensure effective and sensitive Gospel presentation in each region.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local pastors, churches, and ministry networks, strengthening spiritual and community relationships.
• Coordinate spiritual retreat days for DO staff and partners in the U.S., Malawi, and Zambia.
• Serve as a relational bridge between DO’s fieldwork and ministry supporters in the U.S., connecting churches and individuals to impact stories and Gospel outcomes.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of churches and individual donors, cultivating relationships through meetings, events, calls, and personal touch points.
• Create and implement thoughtful engagement strategies that deepen relationships and inspire increased investment in DO’s mission.
• Collaborate with the Stewardship Department to identify and qualify new donor and church prospects, transition annual fund donors into sustained giving relationships, and strategically increase donor commitment levels.
• Prepare and present proposals for financial support of DO’s Gospel Outreach and field initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of donor activity, engagement, and next steps in Salesforce CRM to ensure timely follow-up and stewardship.
• Collaborate with the Stewardship team—including the Annual Fund Officer and Grant Manager—to ensure consistent donor engagement, share stories and impact data, andstrengthen integration across church, individual, and grant partnerships.
• Represent DO through church presentations, mission conferences, and small group settings, sharing updates and inviting support.
• Support-raise personal ministry funding in partnership with the Stewardship Department and model relational fundraising that aligns with DO’s values.
Requirements:
• Understands and wholeheartedly agrees with Design Outreach’s Statement of Faith. Demonstrates a mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ and a strong commitment to the Great Commission.
• Bachelor’s degree in theology, Biblical Studies, Ministry, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of ministry, missions, or leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on relationship building and donor engagement.
• Proven ability to cultivate and steward donor and church relationships resulting in increased giving and ministry impact.

- Provide program management for development of new WASH and Medical technologies through the entire project lifecycle, including research, design, analysis, risk management, prototyping, field testing, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Serve as the overall Program Manager for DO’s top project, currently the MaxLife Handpump Upgrade Project.
- Lead, manage, and provide accountability to a team of WASH and Medical Team Leads and Project Managers (initially 2-3 direct reports).
- Conduct program planning, including developing and maintaining detailed program timelines, resource plans, and budgets.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage changes to program scope or schedule.
