Administrative Project Specialist
Gahanna, OhioPosition:
Scheduling:
• Provide travel logistics planning support for the CTO and Engineering Solutions Director.
• Assist the CTO and Engineering Solutions Team with logistics for group meetings and outside events.
• Coordinate candidate interviews and in-office tours.
• Schedule Engineering Solutions department meetings and training, such as the annual and quarterly project reviews.
• Maintain schedule of career fairs and complete registrations.
• Complete outbound event calendar forms.
Finance:
• Prepare purchase orders per production schedule for CTO approval.
• Assist CTO and Controller with reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices.
• Update Engineering Solutions monthly budget per project spend.
• Purchase innovation lab and office supplies, as needed.
• Assist the CTO and Engineering Solutions Director with expense reports.
IT/HR:
• Provide new email accounts, assist with basic IT issues and password resets.
• Maintain an updated list of DO technology assets.
• Help coordinate on-boarding of Engineering Solutions Team members such as scheduling training, providing materials, in-take of information for support brochure/website.
• Manage office keys and provide keys to new employees.
• Ensure that critical HR files are updated and signed by all staff – i.e., employee handbook, operations. manual, benefits info, the DO Way manual.
• Maintain volunteer database and track volunteer hours.
Communications:
• Assist the CTO with quarterly department communications.
• Send emails on behalf of the CTO.
• Follow up with volunteer and job inquiries.
• Take minutes during critical internal meetings and external meetings with DO partners.
• Organize and manage SharePoint documentation system.
• Work and communicate across departments.

Requirements:

WASH Program Manager
Gahanna, OhioPosition:
• Provide program management for development of new WASH technologies through research, design, analysis, prototyping, testing, manufacturing support, documentation, and risk management.
• Lead, manage, and provide accountability to a team of WASH project managers and engineers (initially 2-3 staff members).
• Oversee the implementation of the DO Way for Appropriate Technology Development on projects.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers on user/human-centered design activities and in applying engineering, design, and product development principles in the development of new technology.
• Conduct program planning.
• Conduct budget and resource planning.
• Provide regular updates to DO’s Leadership Team
• Create and maintain program/project schedules.
• Communicate the objectives, needs, and risks of projects to the organization.
• Develop plans to eliminate and/or mitigate program/project risk.
• Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with staff, partners and vendors.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Collaborate with Field Programs Department, including DO field offices in Malawi and Zambia, to field test and implement new technologies. International travel 1-2 times per year is required.
• Support-raise launch funds and annual funds while maintaining consistent and appropriate contact with ministry partners.

• Ability to commit an average of 8 hours per day 5 days per week (40 hours total per week), with availability in evenings and weekends to support special events, accommodate volunteer/donor schedules, and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Works from office in Columbus, Ohio, with ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet with staff and/or partners.
• Ability to work in a team-based collaborative environment.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
• 10+ years of experience leading projects/programs in WASH or product development industries or other high technology industry.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and partners preferred
