Hello Team!
Today was a fun day of meeting friends from Sawyer, KS, along the Transamerica Bicycle Trail. Three different families met us at different times, with children from two of the families waving posters of encouragement. One family treated us to homemade ice cream! These families are all involved in the Sawyer Young Folks Team that has now raised over $11,000 towards a LifePump for Malawi.
The weather today was excellent. It was sunny and warm with a high around 80°, and the slight headwind made it comfortable. I’m very thankful it was not as hot as it was last week in the same area (100 degrees!).
We made it safely tonight to Medora, KS, after riding 117.0 miles according to Strava. We got permission to park in front of a shed at an antique store in Medora. We had to drive around to find stronger cell signal so I could send this update. 😊
Tomorrow we should reach your final destination for 2021, which is Eureka, KS, about 107 miles away! It’s hard to believe the ride is almost over for this year.
Thanks again for all who are supporting clean water for Malawi, both on teams and as individuals!
Kind Regards,
Michael & Rebecca
