Pedaling for the People of Malawi

Please join us in supporting Design Outreach Engineering Solutions Director Michael Cook as he rides 326 miles to help bring safe water to the people of Malawi. 

Nearly 4 million people in Malawi lack access to safe water. Michael’s goal is to raise $30,000 to rehabilitate four Afridev hand pumps with MaxLife™ components.

Beginning Sept. 7, Michael will ride northbound along the Ohio to Erie Trail, carrying more than 50 pounds of gear. He hopes to raise awareness about the heavy burden of Malawians who walk many miles carrying 40-pound buckets of contaminated water.
