Welcome, Sydney
We’re thrilled to welcome Sydney Cooper to the team as a summer intern.
Sydney is a Biomedical Engineering student at The Ohio State University. She will be working with DO Medical, testing alternative bellows materials for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy system cost reduction and leak testing subcomponents for dressing assembly. She will also be working on the preparation and execution of formative usability studies as well as clinical evaluation device builds and verification testing.
Sydney was inspired by DO’s commitment to meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world. With a passion for engineering and strong Christian faith, she is looking forward to working on practical life-saving engineering solutions while also sharing the love and goodness of God. “I’m excited to use the skills I’ve developed in my studies to make a real difference in the world and be part of an organization that integrates faith with action.”
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys playing the ukulele, running, and leading a small group with Cru, a Christian ministry at Ohio State. Her biggest inspiration? Her mom, whose resilience and faith in the face of breast cancer has left a lasting impact.
Welcome, Sydney—we’re so glad you’re here!
