Field Update: Government Officials Request More LifeLatrine™ Products
LifeLatrine™ was met with enthusiasm and gratitude during a recent field inspection. The Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water and Sanitation, and Wesnet officials conducted inspections of 30 LifeLatrine™ products in Malawi. They expressed their satisfaction with this innovative solution and requested more products for scaling up.
This affordable, reliable sanitation solution is a critical part of Design Outreach’s mission to alleviate global poverty. More than a billion people do not have access to basic sanitation services, contributing to nearly 829,000 deaths annually from diarrheal diseases, a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in many parts of the world. LifeLatrine™ will help families meet their basic sanitation needs with dignity, while reducing incidences of waterborne diseases and improving their overall quality of life.
