Help Fund the Malawi Field Office

Design Outreach Continues to Focus on Finding New Sources of Hope for Those Around the World

We are halfway through funding the Malawi Field Office two-year campaign! This year we are offering a fun interactive way to help meet our goal with Life in Malawi (LIM) events. These events are part of the final half of our two-year campaign to raise more than $600,000 with our target to raise the remaining $253,415 this year. This office will act as an advocacy hub and field innovation center while providing a warehouse space for LifePumps, spare parts, the Training of Trainers program, and rapid response teams.

Become a Host

Would you like to discover "the warm heart of Africa" in Malawi with your friends and family? We are looking for hosts just like you to help spread the word about what DO is doing in Malawi. LIM events are a hands-on, interactive tour event for you, your family, and friends that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your home. Together, we will explore the flavors and sounds that are savored by the friendly, joyous members of a rural community, located in the Lower Shire River Valley of Malawi.

Here is how the Life in Malawi event works:

  1. Select your event date/time and decide if you want to host a virtual, hybrid, or in-person event.
  2. Invite guests to prepare for an unforgettable experience.
  3. Design Outreach will ship a Tour Kit to you and each of your guests. Each kit contains everything needed to fully participate in the festivities in-person or virtually.
  4. Prepare the recipes with the ingredients found inside your kit. The recipes provided are staple dishes in Malawi and cannot be made without water.
  5. Host guests, in-person or virtually, and sit back while your tour begins!

It is really THAT easy!
