Grateful for Volunteers!

National Volunteer Appreciation Week is celebrated the week of April 18. Design Outreach began as a group of volunteers who wanted to use their abilities to further God’s kingdom and help others. Currently, Design Outreach benefits greatly from having 60 volunteers across a wide spectrum of disciplines from engineering to marketing to office support and more. Last year, Design Outreach volunteers donated 5,400 hours of in-kind contributions, including time and resources.

Recently, we welcomed a community group that included members of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. who helped clean LifePump drive rods at Exact Machine Corporation in Sunbury, Ohio. The group has a strong interest in international work and wanted to support Design Outreach while having a chance to volunteer.

“We know the importance of water around the world and even here in our city,” said Tamara Nathan, member of Delta Sigma Theta. “We cannot live without water, and because of that, we thought it would be fitting for us to come and continue the work that Design Outreach does.”

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers for the great work you do for Design Outreach and the people around the world we serve. We could not complete our mission without you.
